Find a box at least a few inches larger than the case on all sides. If you don't have foam blocks to put at the corners of the case, build a good foundation with crumpled newspaper. You really need to have the corners secure, packing peanuts won't do that. If you use newspaper, but the case into a large plastic bag so it doesn't get dirty. After you seal the box, shake it around and turn it over to make sure the case is not moving inside. And yes, if you are in the US use UPS Ground; it is much cheaper than the post office for larger, heavier items. You can print out a shipping label at their website and bring it to a service center (or if you live in a city, you can find a UPS person and leave your box at his or her truck).
