Question I9 12900K, question about Turbo

Hello everyone,
I just purchased the I9 12900K, installed, I'm a bit confused about the default specs / settings
Is it already set as Turbo for all cores ?? Do I need to modify something into the BIOS ? I don't want to OC, yet

Yes, looks like your mobo has MCE (multi core enhancement) enabled by default, this is considered overclocking.
It's not the default from intel, this is mobo shenanigans.
If you need better help list the motherboard make and model, pictures of the bios menu would be even more helpfull.

I'm not sure exactly, but you should look for an MCE (multi-core enhancement) option and turn it off and/or a PL1 setting and set it to 125W. Others with a newer Intel platform can probably help more.

Isn't your goal NOT to overclock the CPU?

If you want to run the CPU at Intel's stock specs, you need to disable MCE.

The CPU will boost up to 5.2 Ghz (depending on how many cores are being used).

Enabling MCE allows the motherboard to disregard any power CPU limitations for a very small boost, at the expense of heat and much higher power usage.

So you have to decide what your end goal is? You either want to run the CPU stock, or you want to overlock it (either manually or by enabling motherboard features such as MCE).

Weird, I only can see 4 cores / 8 threads.
BIOS has the latest version, 0707, tried with BIOS settings default, as well.
Tried with MSCONFIG - Boot - Advanced options.
8 Processors.
Could it be because of the RAM ? I doubt it, tbh
Is not listed on the ASUS QVL list . I attached 2 printscreens with the RAM specs
