same here......i am trying to find all reviews for the board and it seems a very nice board with all the features. I wonder if it comes with IEEE - it doesnt.

here some more info on Epox 4G4A+. Its price is lower because of:

Realtek Lan/Audio/Clock controller
No IEEE

Hey gsethi

If you live in S. Cali, Orange County there is the ACP computer swapmeet this weekend, you can check up the boards up close with the vendors.
Admission: free
Parking : free, but i would opt to pay for parking ($2.00). It would be a lot safer for your car.

You will find what you need there.

Does anyone have a few links to reviews of i845g boards? Specifically, ones geared towards overclocking? Thanks.

I just bought the MSI 845G Max 2 days ago
it was the only i845G board I can find
I am in Hong Kong.

I was hoping to buy the Asus or Abit boards but they are not out yet. I have seen a review for the Abit eng sample for the i845G a few days ago too.

I just installed windows in the new system and haven't tried overclocking, but just briefly looking at the BIOS, you can select each Mhz from 100 to 200 for the FSB and Vcore goes up to 1.8

didn't check on the multipliers for memory and PCI tho.

I guess the MSI board will be good for overclocking too.

but for better system performance I would recommend the SIS645DX chipset, can get this from ASUS P4S533.

The MSI board was for my friend

I am using BD-7 myself and doing a 1.6A @ 2.4Ghz

If price is no object the ASUS P4B533-V appears to be the best i845G option. I have been searching for a motherboard with the i845G chipset, C-Media audio, and Intel LAN, but every other motherboard uses RealTek (LAN or audio) or AC97 (audio) components. Anybody know of any other offerings with the above feature set that doesn't cost close to $200 bucks?

Why pay so much more for an integrated Intel NIC when you can pick one up for $25?

I usually pay ~ $5 - $10 for a 10/100 nic. I would not buy the ASUS till its proven that they allow the 4:5 and 3:4 ratios above 132 FSB. The P4B266 and P4B533 dont.

I'm looking at that Abit BG7 too. I hope it has the same OC features as the rest of the Abit family seems to.

Peace
