i7 920 Ram advice

I'm still running the system in my sig for this week. On thurs when Win7 is available, I'll be loading in to a new build.

I have the i7 920 chip - just came in the mail today. I went down & got an Asus P6T board as well, just now. I want ram advice for a mild OC system, nothing wild.

It looks like I'll be using Win7 32-bit for now; the software I run has trouble with the 64 bit systems from what I can tell. This is not a gamer machine, but it has to be used 12 hours/day and needs to be extremely reliable.

If I get DDR3 1333, can this system be overclocked? Seems like I read in some places yes and in other places that you need to buy 1666 or something, to OC this combination.

I am not asking for advice on quantity - I understand that 32-bit OS will only see 3G+ of RAM and that the 64-bit version will allow a lot more.

But what would be helpful is if someone using the same board (P6T) has a particular BRAND of memory that did work well, or one that just did not work well for overclocking.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Corsair TR3X3G1600C8D 3GB (3x1GB) DDR3 : PC-12800 (1600MHz) DDR3 For X58 MB/i7 Core, 3x240-pin DIMMs, Triple Kit, 8-8-8-24, 1.65V.

1600MHz for the P6T is classed as overclock, the ram above would clock a little further by changing the Blck but not as far as 1866Mhz. It gives you tri channel and 3GB's without wasting any on a 32-bit system

DDR3-1332 will overclock an i7-920 up to 4662mhz with a mobo that supports a 24/7 turbo
If ur running ur CPU that high, i don't think u would have a problem pushing ur ram an extra 90mhz which would give u 5ghz

AKA non-issue
