i7 920 Ram advice

I'm still running the system in my sig for this week. On thurs when Win7 is available, I'll be loading in to a new build.

I have the i7 920 chip - just came in the mail today. I went down & got an Asus P6T board as well, just now. I want ram advice for a mild OC system, nothing wild.

It looks like I'll be using Win7 32-bit for now; the software I run has trouble with the 64 bit systems from what I can tell. This is not a gamer machine, but it has to be used 12 hours/day and needs to be extremely reliable.

If I get DDR3 1333, can this system be overclocked? Seems like I read in some places yes and in other places that you need to buy 1666 or something, to OC this combination.

I am not asking for advice on quantity - I understand that 32-bit OS will only see 3G+ of RAM and that the 64-bit version will allow a lot more.

But what would be helpful is if someone using the same board (P6T) has a particular BRAND of memory that did work well, or one that just did not work well for overclocking.

1600MHz for the P6T is classed as overclock, the ram above would clock a little further by changing the Blck but not as far as 1866Mhz. It gives you tri channel and 3GB's without wasting any on a 32-bit system
 
DDR3-1332 will overclock an i7-920 up to 4662mhz with a mobo that supports a 24/7 turbo
If ur running ur CPU that high, i don't think u would have a problem pushing ur ram an extra 90mhz which would give u 5ghz

AKA non-issue
