Do you game, and also at what resolution and what power supply and processor/CPU do you have? Also RX 5500XT supports Windows 10.

For the record, I upgraded my Win7 to 10 when it came out, and my 5870 is humming along just fine ever since. I don't remember if it gave me any compatibility complaints back then though.

There should be no reason any motherboard with a pci-e slot will not support any videocard with the possibility of some Quadro and FireGL cards or a Macintosh.

I would try your 5870, make sure it has the proper windows 10 catalyst drivers and it should be good to go.
Just install windows 10, and then after its installed, download and install the ATI drivers.
