Does anyone else here have a Level 10? Man...its got a substantial price tag. But it'd be worth it if its going to last me for next 10 years or so.

Lian Li case is better, the original level 10 was more of just a "look what we can do for a shit load of money" thing. The level 10 GT is just trying to get money out of the hype the level 10 got (because it made little profit). That doesn't make it a good case, now the case IS fairly good, but not better then a Lian Li build quality or airflow. And is certainly not worth the pricetag.

Have you actually worked with a level 10 GT? I'm 35 years ols and have been building since I was about 7. I have built using CM, Lian li, corsair, etc... I have used them all.

The level 10 is by far the favorite case I have used fo far...

You can't appreciate it until you actually build it. Besides the best cable management I have seen (IMO better then the obsidian). The removable swinging side door, air flow, placement of everything, topless drive bays, hot swap hard drive bays, dust filters, fan sizes, everything screams that they did their homework and delivered.

Not only will this case be with me for years, I find it hard to see anyone topping it for a while, plus I love the looks of it... I'm sorry but the others basically look like ugly rectangles to me now.

I haven't used the Level 10 GT only the original Level 10 the $700 one.

And really since you were 7? You must have jumped right on the band wagon and had quite a wealthy family the first Home computers had JUST started showing up by 1980, 28 years ago (when you were 7) was 1983, You were on the forefront of technology congratulations.

I have used most major companies in my builds for myself and others. From my personal experiences the Level 10 (the original) wasnt that good of a case. For the money, it was way too expensive, it WAS however very well built and quite cool. But again i could have gotten better build quality with a solid 300-400 dollar Lian Li. The level 10 GT from what i have seen is about the same quality and build as the HAF X (a very nice case btw) but the HAF X is only about $180 compared to $270 of the GT. The level 10 does have a fairly interesting design but honestly that isnt worth the $90 price increase.

Actually my family was in the industry so that helped, I spent my childhood in a computer / network company. Was programming when I was 7, built and ran a 32 line BBS when I was 9, Built my first Novell Network for a company when I was 12 and was working in the gaming industry when I was 15... So yeah, I have been "involved" in the industry for quite some time. I actually own my own IT Consulting company.

Anyway, back on subject. I too agree the original level 10 was a complete joke. Looked interesting but other then that it was a complete POS. I think judgement should be held until you actually get to see one in person.

I have seen one in person, my friend loves his GT, i did not personally get involved in his build however seeing it and looking inside of it has given me a fairly good understanding of the case. The cable management seemed about same as my HAF X and the cooling as well. I just dont think it is worth the price as it stands. The Lian Li that i suggest for $200 is a better case for the money, it may not be so flamboyant or hyped up, but it's usefulness exceeds that of the GT.

It has 10 3.5" internal instead of the 5 in the GT, it also has an extra external 5.25" bay. The Lian Li also allows for a larger GPU with 53cm of space compared to 32cm on the GT (IIRC). the Lian Li case is also all metal while the GT is metal and plastic. (i prefer metal myself but some like either so that isnt really usefulness) There are metal thumb screws for the motherboard, vented PCI brackets, Tool-less ODD mounts, tool-less PSU mounting and cable clamps. Tool-less PCI. Dont get me wrong, they are both good cases, but for my 70 bucks more i expect more.

Lian Li cases are garbage, don't listen to M. Night.

OP, get a HAF X.

I would suggest the HAF X over the GT as IMHO they are the same case, BUT Saying Lian Li cases are garbage with no evidence supporting it and with many enthusiasts fully supporting Lian Li is just stupid.

dude, that level 10 screams awesomeness. People who don't know about computers will love it. The thing is designed to be an artwork! But 700 bucks for just the case doesn't seem to justify it... I like that asymmetrical look, and it seems pretty easy to build!

The level 10 GT looks like everything else out there.... or it's not different enough... like the original level 10. I currently have a Silverstone TJ10, which I think is a pretty damn awesome looking case, but it's simple and plain. If I want something with a sleek design level 10 is really hard to take the crown away from... that and Mac Pro cases are both works of art...
