Ayone running this chip with a stock heatsink and fan set-up, using only the intel supplied factory fitted thermal compound? ie, no added thermal paste.
How has the experience been, thus far?

Have to do my build soon, and I'm not looking forward to scraping stuff off and then applying grease to my HS.
Can I get away with using it au natural?

wondering same thing? from what i read it would seem to be fine as long as you are not overclocking

The stuff Intel uses is high quality . If you are using the stock cooler, no need to use other stuff..

Works fantastically for me, course I don't overclock. Nevertheless games have been a breeze, running AVP3, Quake4, Crysis, etc... doesn't overheat it if that's what you're wondering. In fact, I'm so unconcerned about the temperature, I haven't loaded any apps to monitor fluctuations, unlike with my previous AthlonXP 1800+ processor.
