it's a safe temp, but is this at stock speed? and are you using the stock cooler?

The stock cooler is perfectly fine if you are running at stock speeds. If you plan to overclock the chip you will be well advised to install an aftermarket cooler. Many good ones to choose from but a popular choice is CM Hyper 212 EVO http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103099. Not my personal favorite but hey, it's popular for a reason. It's cheep and it works.

stock cooler explains it, it'll work, but if I weren't overclocking I would still get something cheap just to add to the longevity of the chip.

check this out, it should lower temps 15-20 degrees. but if you stick with stock you'll still be fine

Are you using a game or something like prime95/ibt to load the pc while you measure the temps? 65C is quite good and if that is the hottest it gets then use the stock cooler until it dies unless you want something quieter.
