I just built a new machine the other day and I'm wondering if my idle temps are too high (No OC Yet). The idle temps are around 31-34C and when playing a game like Skyrim, which I know is CPU intensive I'm seeing around 50-57C. I just wanted to check before removing the heatsink (Hyper 212 Evo) and reseating it.

Thanks

Your temps look fine.

Time to start your overclocking adventure.

In the end your overclock will be dictated by your loaded temps.

If your just gonna use your rig for the normal stuff and gaming I wouldn't worry too much about temps while heavily stress testing for stability. I'm not saying if your stress testing your rig and you see 100C it's ok, more like temps achieved during heavy stress testing are never seen in real world use....Except if you intend to subject your rig to a similar stressed situation.

You should be happy those are nice idle temps. I bet your room is like 74F or lower.

Lower the room temp, the slower you can make the fans work less noise. gl
