Where to buy i5 2500K new that ships for a good price?


I have been searching but cant really find anything.
Please respond if you know where to get these CPU's.

No Microcenters here. I found one online for $180 but was hoping for cheaper than that.

Intel does not discount EOL products, so you won't have much luck there. That said, many retailers do discount EOL CPUs very slightly, but you missed the timing window on the 2500k. You might be able to find one in the classifieds here or elsewhere, but I wouldn't pin any hopes on finding a cheap 2500k at an etailer.

Microcenter dropped them from their stock a long time ago. Then they had an extremely short $99 sale on "OEM" 2500Ks and that was the end of the line for 2500ks at Microcenter.

Yeah. They may still be fabbing SNB chips for OEM RMA replacements (assuming the stockpile isn't already built up), but they certainly aren't binning any more K SKUs at this point.
