I do not think this is really important, but some people have been asking about it. I do not agree with comparing a OC CPU to a stock CPU.

I don't agree with it either, but it happens all the time. Even buying advice is given on overclocking... which I believe isn't right either.

However, you must see the reason behind this is to see how much of an improvement Sandy Bridge is in the IPC department, nothing more.

Since I started the thread on this subject let me simply say that its not so much about comparing the cpus but rather the relative increase in performance the new architecture brings. When sites show graphs that have the SB cpus performing tasks much faster than slower clocked cpus, most people will want to know how the cpu compares at the same speed and since most 750/760s OC to about the same speed as SB, its a valid question.

Ya there is that which your saying but its just impossiable to put a performance increase % on SB . Unless you don't average . And if you do average its not accurate because of this link right here as time passes your old 1155 will get faster and faster as a %. If you average.

Ya see SB is kinda future proof in away .

So SB O/Cs the same as a 750/760 . Lets see links to 750/760 O/Ced on air to 5hhz . Review sites did it . But some have tested 100s so goes the story . That means someone is getting opened CPUs . As were talking What $30,000 in cpus. Only 10% of thus could run at 5GHZ so goes the story and the rest had trouble with 4.5 ghz. So goes the story from a man who will send a customer a opened cpu package. Not exactly someone I trust . What happened to luck of draw.
