What are your thoughts on the max temperatures I should allow when overclocking? I know everyone has their own preference, so let me hear yours. I have the i5-2500k with a Corsair A50 cooler, just got it set up last night and ran LinX for about 20 minutes today just to see what the temps would get up to. Maximum was around 56C, and they hovered around 54-55C. This is at stock settings, does that seem too high already? The fan isn't a PWM fan, and I have it set and 2000RPM right now. I am thinking of putting the resistor in to set it down to 1600RPM, as it is kinda loud. Wondering if I need to reseat the cooler, or do these temps look good so far?
Also, any links to an overclocking guide? I have the ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 motherboard, if that matters. Thanks for any help.
