I don't know how much but probably in that range. Quite cheap for what it does. (as long as it doesn't fly apart and kill someone!)

Imagine a fan spinning at a constant speed with a variable blade pitch. Attached to the hub is a voice coil that works like a conventional loudspeaker. As the amplitude of the signal increases, the voice coil moves outwards and increases the pitch of the blades. As the blades' pitch is modulated with the LFE amplifier, the device can pressurize and depressurize the listening area instantly. Thus a relatively small device can move air volumes at low frequencies that would take dozens of conventional cone woofers with thousands of watts of power. It's predominately designed for frequencies below 20 Hz.

Possibly however one must consider the success of the final product is highly dependent on the mechanical quality of the pitching mechanism. If shoddy, it will make a lot of noise making the thing totally useless. Even a well designed one will have some noise as a side effect - hence the requirement for ducting and baffles.
