There are several versions of the above, depending on if you want to crack as an individual or as a part of the TA Cube Borg collective.

(Was looking for that link, but was too slow ;)

Installing as a service will hide all client operations.

I would recommend the standard version at first so that you can see what the client is doing.

Installing as a service will hide ALL client operations? Hmm really all? does it show up in the close program dialogue? Visible on the taskbar?

Ug, OK, omit the word "all", so it reads "hides client operations" :)

jinsonxu,

Correct. It will not show up in the close program box, or on the task bar if installed as a service.

There are a couple of ways of bringing up the client congiguration in hidden mode.

I like: In the distributed.net folder, make a shortcut to the client application. Add -config to the end of the command line. (space dashconfig)

Then rename the shortcut to "Dnetc -config" or the like.

Then that shortcut will take you to the config screens.

You can type dnetc -config at a command prompt too.

Make sure you have permission to run the client.

The service will not be hidden from CPU load monitoring programs.

Zap is correct. If you pull up System Monitor, the CPU usage will be pegged at 100%.
