I would like another spyware program..

Hey All
I need another spyware program other than *Ad-Aware* ver. 5 because it takes almost one hour to complete on my system (Win XP, 2400xp) so because of its time in getting a system check I would really love to try another one out.

You can try Spybot, but I think they'll probably take about the same time, as it depends on how much stuff you have to check on your computer. Just set it going when you go to bed, and it'll be done by the morning, and you won't have to wait around for it at all!

Hey C, yea, thats what I did with *Ad-Aware* but after it ran the check and the screen came up with ALL of what it found I forgot to check all of those boxes and I clicked on the "go to the next screen" button which by doing that would not delete its findings so I had to start all over again...grrrrrrr!!!

Another vote for SpyBot, an excellent piece of freeware.

I run both, although I prefer Spybot now because it's 10 times faster.

Finishes in about 5 minutes and i scan 2 hdds with it. It works, finds and gets rid of the stuff.

Use spybot its faster then adaware. but i run both. adaware 6 takes about 30 min to fo my comp but its worth it cause it will find stuff that spybot wont. and vica versa

When I used ad-aware 6.0 on a 1800xp it took about 4 mins and removed everything in less than 1 min. However, I don't install a bunch of crapola on my computer to sift through ^_^
