Games generally eat up storage quickly. All I do on my iPad is read news and books (it used to be my primary video streaming device as well) so I hardly use any storage out of the 32GB. Android tablets are still widely considered a joke, so trading an iPad for an Android tab is a strange recommendation. It's not that the hardware is bad, but that the software ecosystem is weak. I also don't know if there's a single Android tablet SoC that matches Apple's A12 in performance (and A12 came out in 2018).

Yes, I was very impressed with the speed of my daughter's iPad... the speed at which it ate up all of it's storage :)

You would "think" that 32 GB is enough, but my daughter quickly ran out of space on hers. For her, it was the photo storage that took up most of the space. If you also have an iPhone and you have it syncing your photo and video library... forget it. You'll fill up the storage in months.

Her new Android tablet has 128 GB of storage... and it cost less.

That's true, however with the newest ipad OS it seems like they've opened up external storage options quite a bit. While not as good as having more internal storage, having a thumb drive add another 256 gigs (or whatever size you buy) makes it a lot less restrictive than I initially thought. At least that's how I understand it.

But I don't have any Apple products (outside of work) and it's the 32gig version which is pretty limiting.

I'm currently torn between my incredibly strong desire to tear it open and play with new tech, and trying to sell it before Christmas to get a decent amount for it (since they're all sold out).

I'm so conflicted

I just found multiple 32gb ipads in stock to ship and a couple available locally for pickup within an hour in less than a minute.

Having said that, if you like using Android, Windows (and possibly Linux) you will not enjoy IOS ... I strongly suggest selling it.

Well I've tried to sell it before Christmas, but only offer I got was for $200 which for that price I'd either keep or sell it to my brother for about that much. Might be harder to sell now that Christmas is over, but I may give it a couple more days

I have an iphone for work. While I certainly don't prefer it for my main personal device, it's honestly come a long way from when I last used it (and hated it then). The latest iOS release finally includes an app drawer so the home page isn't just pages of all your apps. Sad that it took them this long, but it makes using the iphone a lot better.

Guys, I tried to sell it, but I didn't get any takers. Ended up just opening it, and I've been having a lot of fun with it. I certainly wouldn't have bought one, but for free it's a good device.

I'm not an Apple fan, but I bought my wife an Ipad Air2 back in 2015 when she wanted a tablet. She checked out the Samsung offerings at Best Buy...then tried the Ipad. That's what we took home. I was so impressed by the damned thing, I bought myself one for Christmas in 2017. Just the 32 gb version...I've never run out of storage...but then again, it only has a handful of pics on it, and NO music. Probably 90% of the surfing I've done since buying it has been on the iPad.

They are good devices, much better than what Android has to offer. My wife has an iPad and I have a Galaxy Tab. Mine was $100 cheaper though.

Does the Ipad allow you to install extra storage via Micro-slot?, most android devices do.
