I woke up this morning and the closet light was on.

Now, normally i wouldn't think twice about this, but Since i'm at home by myself and NO one else should have a key to my place, i have NO idea how that light got turned on.

Weird. I know i didn't turn it on unless i turned it on in my sleep.

nothing was missing in the house, so i don't think anyone got in to steal anything.

stuff like that happen to anyone else?

sometimes that happened. the switch was one of those in the door fram that triggered when you opened the door. my cat would go into the closet at night and sometimes open the door a little bit more and the light would come on

we have the same problem here..
damn..something is living at the top right hand hand corner of the closet...
keeps deactivating the light switch and flickers it wildly...alike those poltergeist movies.

scares the hell out of everyone..and curiously the landlord keeps asking strange questions like
'is everything normal?'...'any weird problems?'...adds to my suspicions...

Some people do strange things in their sleep, above and beyond just walking. Its a condition that some people have, but I don't recall the name of it right now. For example, there was this one lady who woke up the next morning and found someone tore apart her kitchen and ate her catfood. She had catfood all over her face. She ate it herself while asleep. Lots of stories like these. You should ask your doctor about it, maybe you're doing things in your sleep.

The one I found to be the scariest was the guy who woke up to find his wife standing over him with a knife, ready to staab him. She was doing it while asleep. Oh yeah, there's another one too, this guy woke up to find his wife perched on their window, apparently trying to fight off someone trying to get into their house, but they lived on the 24th floor of a complex.

Dirty switch or a bad connection at the switch terminals can cause this. I know a guy who bought a bunch of old light switches and he installed them. He thought his house was haunted. You could stand back at his front door and look into the house and about half the rooms in the house had lights turning on and off at random. Wierdest problem I have ever had to fix, short of the naked woman who wanted a light bulb installed above her bed. LOL!
