i signed up for the open beta of matrix online and although i did not care for the game and did not buy it i still get emails from them.

this is the latest one i recieved...damn i wish WoW would sent out emails every so often telling us something, anything of when/what content upgrades are planned...

i also wish they would have some world events or random high level monsters that would atack random towns something like stitches that walks the path from the cementary and is very hard to kill anyway here is the email:

Following the success of The Race to Find the One live event, WBIE and Monolith Productions are proud to announce our Live Events Team schedule for the next six months. Beginning next week, The Matrix Online moves forward with a new cinematic and an accompanying mission pack. Morpheus continues his quest for Neo's body as Niobe, The Merovingian and Agent Grey rally their followers, culminating in another live global event.
WBIE and Monolith are focused on bringing The Matrix Online to life through regularly scheduled live events, expanded gameplay, and the constant presence of the Monolith Live Events Team. As the schedule below demonstrates, the Live Events Team will be planning and running live events regularly throughout the next six months while continuing its ongoing constant presence inside the game.

i know but you have to wade through all the nerf and whine posts in the forums and the update site has no definite dates....

plus emails to its clients would make it feel like blizzard is trying to keep connected to its users base.....

thats why they have in-game GMs. some nerfs were necessary.

but i'm still sitting on a major upgrade on the hunter, to have more end-game powers.

maybe you guys should suggest the idea of a newsletter to blizzard.

The problem is that the players don't know the meaning of the word tentative. If they gave out a tentative 6 month schedule there would be mass protests every time Blizz didn't deliver on their promises.

Keep in mind that WoW is considerably more high-profile the MO. If Blizz couldn't keep to their schedule it would probably be major news in the big gaming publications.

There was a time when hardware and software companies gave release dates. But they no longer bother because it only comes back to bite them in the @ss when something unexpected comes up. The end users (and "e-journalists") are relentless with such things.

Basically, we brought this fact of life on ourselves.

lol, in game GMs are a joke (unless it's changed since I quit a month ago). I petitioned them about 5 times over the time that I played... never once got a response back (and once I kept a ticket open for over 12 hours).

you gotta keep those tickets open for a while man. its totally random as to when they'll be able to get back to you. could be right away (doubtful) or could take even a couple of days. bottomline is, if you wait, they will respond.

there's the coming soon page.

I do wish there were more global changes/events or even small in-game GM-run events like EQ has.

Over the last month i've had about 3 tickets and everytime they responded to them. Even when i went offline, they sent me the response to my ticket through the mail the next day. The length of time to get the responses, you are correct, is a very long time. I believe i had to wait an average of 7 hours to get a response, but they did eventually get to it. if that helps.

Yep, though I actuallt kinda like it the way it is now.
No release dates means you won't get your hopes up and then get disapointed.

Just wait, and while waiting, try life outside your house 😉
