I wish MS made it possible to uninstall components like IE and WMP

I really just wish that these programs weren't tied to the OS. It's not that I don't use them, I just wish they were optional.
 
If you remove your hard drive and slave it in another NTFS system you can. But after you boot up to the altered drive without IE, the task manager and a few other things will no longer function.
 
I know you can use nLite to create a XP installation disc that doesn't contain things such as IE (I always remove MSN Explorer and Tour), I would refrain from doing so. I believe many components assume it's there and use it.
