I wish Ken Lewis wasn't getting $53 million to retire......

Sarcasm about previous thread aside...... 😀

I........uhhh......don't like the fact that Ken Lewis is getting $53 million to retire when he's ALREADY made more money than I'll ever make in my life.

And considering that, ultimately, he probably is retiring on my CHILDREN'S money, I'd kinda' like to see him get about 10.....errr........1 percent of that $53 million just so he can buy his grandkids Taco Bell on the occasional weekend.

There's just no convincing me otherwise...

Not a smoke and a pancake
Bong and a blintz
Pipe and a crepe......

This guy is about as shameful as........(eh, I can't type that many names)

I also wish he wasnt making that much more than me.

I strongly disagree that anyone should be able to do anything about it.

There is a 6 year old in Kenya right now that hates your guts because you have running water and electricity. You have more money than him or his whole family will EVER have or spend. The clothes you wear probably cost more than his monthly food budget.

Maybe they will send him and Pohlson and Bernanke to jail over this. However, I doubt it. The people in New York would like to at least force him to appear in court to answer charges.

My wife worked for BAC and all she got is the boot and what was in her Savings plan that she put in it.

Might want to read the part in the link where it says that he paid into his retirement plan.

Maybe if you stopped playing victim and looked at improving your own life, you might put yourself in a position to make money.

Oh, ya, but the liberal mentality is that you are always getting the short end of the stick and that someone else is at fault...so why don't I just sit on my ass and wait for a government hand out....right?

I wish Oprah Winfey didn't make 275 million last year. She should probably pay reparations for her part in foisting the communist on us but I'm not into regulating peoples pay (like the communist is).

Oh but the difference is...Oprah GENERATED money on that course to 275 Million...Lewis' Company was waiting in line for a Government bailout at the time....

I've come to the conclusion that I don't give a shit how much they make as long as they aren't in line for bailouts when the company hits the shitter. Worrying about it doesn't change it and it's not just the banks that do it. Not worth bothering..

Like I said earlier...I've got $32,000+ of BOA's money at ZERO % interest earning 3% for me for the next year. 😛

Hey, I heard your neighbor has a bigger TV and cooler car than you... If I were you, I'd consider that the last straw. Since you've already given up on your life, and since life is just so darn unfair, why bother sticking it out?

Intelligent retirement planning FTW.

Yes, because cheating your way to the top and fucking other people over and taking their money is so much better than that.

Just curious, since you are so smart, are you going to be receiving a 53 million dollar retirement?

I'm not a practicing Christian so I don't have a problem with it ..well besides the fact I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it from him😉

What did the OP to do fuck over the average persons tax dollars that go into the BILLIONS of dollars?

It's not the fact he made millions of dollars...its that he did it in a sleazy and morally corrupt way and shouldn't be rewarded for it. Our financial regulations and laws need to be brought up to the 21st century scam practices.

You guys are a joke because:

1) Ken Lewis lied when he signed the shareholder proxy which claimed no Merrill employees in fiscal year 2008 would receive bonus, incentive or deferred compensation before the acquisition closed, when, in fact, the bank had authorized bonus payments of as much as $5.8 billion to Merrill Lynch (btw, the attorney representing Bank of America has said the 'payments' were a "retention tool"); and

2) BoA had 'settled' with the SEC on a $33 million fine for misleading investors before a Federal judge tossed out the agreement and demanded that BoA explain the authorization of bonus payments (of as much as $5.8 billion) when the proxy said none would be paid before the acquisition.

So. Tell me who is at fault, now, boys?
