I wish I could shoot ebay scammers in the face

TallBill

Lifer
I listed my xbox 360 on ebay only to have a scammer "win" the auction and send me a fake paypal email. So I dispute the item and relist it. Once again, a fvcking scammer wins the auction and sends me a fake paypal email.

As far as I know, I wont get a credit this time, so there goes (X) dollars for listing fees, and I still havn't sold my xbox. Now I have to wait untill the 14th to even report this auction as unpaid, and theres no way to get in touch with any humans at ebay.

I'm about to start a pool of money to destroy my xbox 360 in some clever way. This is getting rediculous.

Edit - Update - Walmart said that they'd take it back, so its bye bye xbox 360.

Edit #2 - Ebay actually removed the final value fee on both auctions since both users are now unregistered, which saved me $26 in extra fees.

Edit #3 - Ebay actually responded to my email, and gave me full listing fees back from both auctions. Good job ebay at actually doing something about the situation.

I will happily take it off of your hands, but first I need you to send my bank $10,000 USD so I can take the fortune my father left me, then I will send you western union money order, is that o k?

😛

Um cancel bids of people with low ratings?

that's what I did when I sold my laptop on ebay. I was surprised too. Within seconds of putting up the auction, I got an email from a scammer

ROFL:laugh:

EDIT: Holy ****** man, why so much for shipping?

Seriously, wtf? $40 for shipping, $70 for overnight? You could probably ship that stuff to China and back for that price. You're like those assholes who charge $20 for shipping then send it via $2 parcel post. This is why I hate buying from ebay now, so many people overcharge. I remember when people used to frequently have free shipping (which I still offer on some of my items) and most of the shipping prices were $5-10.

/rant

sorry this is a ebay pet peeve of mine

You can set auctions so people have to have a certain rating in order to win can't you? DO that and if they scam you, turn in their ID to ebay/paypal and have them banned.

Yes, from now on with higher dollar items, I'll have to do that. Quite sad regardless.
