Actually, this is not a bad idea if you don't like being tied down to a daily calendar. A little script, db and a cron job would take care of it.

There is a website that provides this function, but I don't remember what it is. They'll archive your message for 10, 20, 25 years etc and deliver it when you say. It'd be a trip to send one to a child or current gf/spouse. I almost did just that, but got too weirded out once I started typing it and clicked cancel. Haven't revisited it since.

OP I'm too lazy to google and since you're the one asking, I'll leave that task to you.
