I'd splurge on diskeeper if I were you and set up smart scheduling.

Uh...yeah. Thanks for repeating me. 😕

Disk Keeper is crap, they want $1,000 cause my system is >512GB. I need Server Enterprise edition.

For that price I could buy myself another 1GB array and have $200 left.

I just started defragging mine (for the first time in quite a while) after being reminded by the F.E.A.R. Tweak guide....Kinda not so good. 😀

Usualy windows wont let you defrag if you have less than 15% free. I know from experience. Odd that yours does.

Damn, thought their server version was based on OS, not the size of the volume. That does suck.

<<I have a 1TB volume that needs to be defragged BADLY. Disk keeper wants $1k for a version that supports volumes >512GB. Windows will not defrag the drive anymore. Are there any reasonably priced programs out there or preferrably free that will defrag the drive?>>

Last resort: Moving all data from the drive to another (one or multiple ones) and then moving it back will get you a defragged drive. If you have another 1 TB to spare, it should be all right.

This might have to be a viable option. God I dont want to do it. Have to format drives where the data came from then copy all the data back to those drives, format the TB and re copy it. Eventualy I will have to repeat this proccess........
