...go on, think of the worst thing that could happen.

I'll give you a clue: I broke my PSP and Camera because of it. :(

Your in Venice, what the h--l do you need a PSP for? Why the need to carry it? Shouldn't the surroundings be enough to keep your mind occupied or is it that all gen-x'ers can't appreciate fine detail or have an attention span of a house cat?

Maybe if he hadn't had his head down and eyes glued on the PSP he would have noticed he was about to walk into a canal :)

I wasn't on holiday. I live in Florence and took it with me to listen to music / play games because it is a 3 hour train journey,.

Who'd guessed? They made Florence part of the UK!

I know! We're expanding again.

Update profile

Britannia! Britannia!

Yup, I'd be more worried about what diseases I picked up from that water than some drenched equipment. Some of it may even work after you let it dry for a few weeks.

I can relate. At Disneyland once, on a roller coaster, my camera flew out of my (unzipped) pocket and landed on the track where the next car smashed it to bits. It was only a month old with a 2GB memory card in it and rechargeable battery. That was $600 well spent. Live and learn I guess!

I was going to guess that the entire city sank under the water, seeing as how it is sinking at a fairly alarming rate.

The 'pavement' in Venice has marble borders in places (right at the edge as I recall :p) - Wet marble is VERY slippy.
So I was stood at the edge and decided to walk down some marble steps to the waters edge...

My mate says "becareful dude, those look slip..." SPLASH!

Yeah, I heard about the pollution :( I appear to be still alive :D
