I went to a Star Bucks for the first time in my entire life

Its trendy. Walking into work with a cup of Starbucks is to some people like having a high postcound on these forums for us.

ya you dont wanna be the guy with a thermos

I like it...and it's not about the social scene either. I just enjoy the coffee, and am willing to pay the price for it....call me a tool, but I enjoy it

I find it humorous that depending on what group of people you associate with, it's either trendy to drink starbucks, or trendy to make fun of people that do.

It's coffee. If you like the coffee, drink the coffee. If you don't like it, don't drink it. You don't need to make a huge social status issue out of it.

Exactly. I find it hilarious people think a coffee chain is "trendy." Hey guys, is McDonalds trendy? They have restaurants everywhere!

Exactly. I happen to like their Caffe Verona blend of beans (and have since '91), so I buy them to make coffee at home. Once in a while I'll buy a grande mocha or latte there. End of story. It's a coffee shop not a lifestyle choice.

<shrug> they have reliably good coffee -- not the best, but good, and are everywhere. If I'm out and decide I want coffee, Starbucks is a known quantity.

I had my first cup of starbucks at a barnes and noble the other day. It wasn't great, it wasn't terrible. It has nothing on White Castle.

It was not that good. The Seattle Drip is far better. Why is this place so popular?

Starbucks sucks hard. Thye double roast ( burn the beans) so you cant taste how cheap they are.
