I've talked to a lot of people about this show over the last couple years. Most people give rave reviews, mixed in with some "its OK, but goes downhill".

Considering that most people say that Season 1 is the best season, I really wasn't impressed. I mean, it was OK, I did watch the whole thing, but it wasn't anything special.

What do people love about it so much? Sure, the mom is hot, and the brother is funny as hell, but that was about it.

This is coming from someone who smokes... a fair amount... at least I can appreciate that 🙂
 
The second season was good too, but it does indeed go down hill. I found it to be very entertaining even tho it was quite unbelievable and at times formulaic.
 
Toward the end of season 3 was when it started to suck. I forgot when U-Turn was introduced, but he was my favorite character.
 
My wife and I just started watching it and are now just about caught up with season 5.

In our opinion it started off slow...peaked somewhere in season 3 and is falling off in the final seasons and getting way too serious.

I stopped watching very quickly into season 3...lost interest as the show jumped the shark...

If you smoked less you might have the brains cells necessary to get it.
 
I still like the show, Doug(Kevin Nealon) isn't as funny as the pathetic loser he is now on the show as he was when he was the successful accountant/city planner who liked to get high and fuck with people. Other than that the show still entertains me each week.
 
The show lost its premise, started out great, a rich suburban milf selling weed. Kevin Nealon was hilarious too. However, after U-Turn dies, and she gets mixed up with the mexicans, the whole show just drags the fact that they are living average lives trying to get by and not get killed by mexicans.
 
I've watched every episode so far but it's not really as great as people make it out to be. Maybe bunch of potheads making noise. 😛
