I watched House M.D tv show for the first time last night

While the medical stuff was interesting, everything else was just Hugh Laurie horribly overacting. How do people like this show? The overacting was horrible and not even believable. He tried much too hard to make everyone else on the show not like him.
 
The medical part is the shitty part... It's practically the same every week just with a different name (formula wise a tleast) and a 1 in 10 or so chance they'll die. I like it for the overacting ^.^
 
I have seen it a few times, same old ridiculous shit everytime, I especially LOL at the parts about the dr's going out into people's houses ect
 
I find it funny because he is such an ass that nobody in life could get anywhere if they were that much of one. It's a fantasy world, and I enjoy it for the ~3 segments that have funny smart ass dialog going on.

Medical stuff is meh, but the dialog is funny.
 
I like the show but understand the hate for it. Currently I've been stuck in a law and order svu loop. Mariska hartigay is such a milf.
 
1st couple seasons when it was more based on the medical aspect were great. Now it's just another over-dramatic soap opera with really unfunny situations. I removed the series from my dvr when I saw the episode with house driving around in a monster truck and acting like a spoiled brat with that mail order bride. A perfect example of show deterioration...or maybe their target demographic changed over time, I don't know, or care the show sucks now imo.
 
It was way better when it was about crazy medical stuff... curing the brain-dead woman so her heart could be transplanted jumps to mind.

Now its basically a soap opera with occasionally interruptions from a patient who really has nothing to do with the story.

they'll probably hook her up with chase so he can learn a lesson or some shit. foreman and taub will be hooked up for lulz.

i hope they don't end the show on a happy note.
