I watched 'Dead Alive' last night for the first time!

Movie rules, so much blood. The scene with the baby in the park, LOL.

If you liked that, check out "Bad Taste", Jacksons first movie, it is in a similar vein but a little more low budget. Also hilariously gory.

'Tis indeed over the top... and over rated. I can see how children might like it -particularly if they had not seen many movies before and are easily titilated by such "gore". But otherwise meh. It needed to bring more funneh aside from relying upon the effects, in my opine. Shaun of the Dead is muy better in that regard. Likewise, I prefer Dellamorte Dellamore (aka Cemetary Man) which has more depth.

If you think that's bad, watch Jackson's "Meet the Feebles".

The best way to describe this movie... imagine if the Muppet Show or Sesame street were only shown on cinemax after hours.

A friend of mine made me watch this movie (alone with Dead Alive)... the horror, the horror.

Ja, I've seen clips of Meet the Feebles and based upon those decided not to bother watching the movie.

The fing is, I'm no naif and I've seen a lot of movies and am pretty much shockproof. So, if the flick tries to shock and fails (which is invariably) then it only serves to repel. Give me substance or give me death.

I didn't care for it. To me it was neither funny nor scary, just kind of goofy and bloody. I think Shaun of the Dead sets the standard for zombie comedy, and if that's a 5/5, Dead Alive is barely a 2/5. Heavenly Creatures is the only Peter Jackson film I really like.
