I was wondering, given the grave crisis the nation is in

to step down early and let Obama take over right away. It would be a tremendous gesture of good will and something of an apology for being such a disaster.

Or is he too deeply committed to the farce that everything been just great?

I've been thinking this for weeks. Can't think of any legal situation. Certainly can't imagine bush would want to do something good for the country. We can dream...

I dunno how active Cheney is nowadays, Bush wouldn't do shit without his say so... for some reason i think he just says "fugeddaboudit" these days.

It makes me very anxious when I hear of him traveling overseas - more shit to straighten out after he's gone.

Interesting. Just heard part of a report on npr that dhs is telling employees that they should follow the 'current' presidents/administration's orders and not the president-elect's after tomorrow. Do you know something Moonbeam?

Why would they follow the President-elect's orders when he isn't even sworn into office?

Good question. I heard only parts of the report, so won't speculate any further. The very fact that it was being reported was curious.

Nononono, I just mean out of camp, i'm in Afghanistan. ;)

An assassination of GW could have a very disasterous result (you know who's vice and with a new war started then...).

Soon all of this will be over and if i have my way, i'll be sitting in the US drinking Margeritas in weeks. :D

Would never happen.

Its a shame, because we all know that Bush has atleast one more catastrophic F&ck up left in him

It would be the ultimate act of sacrifice and finally admitting that he was a douche. However, douches don't readily admit such things and thus I wouldn't count on it.

The short answer is that Bush can't. Bush can resign of course but that would leave Cheney in charge. They both leave then Pelosi's up to bat. Pres-elect don't mean squat until the guy in the dress sings.
