I was 2 blocks away getting into a car with my parents when we heard the shots that killed JFK. At first we though it was a car back firing, until a couple of minutes later we heard on the car radio that the president had been shot🙁

I think you win.

Not exactly noteworthy, but I was in Saigon and you could already hear the NVA tanks in the distance.
Listened on the UHF/VHF while some of the last Army Special Forces were retreating (WAYYYY behind the ARVN!).
BTW, they weren't voluntarily retreating either, they were under orders to "get your men and let's take 'em home", as one Colonel said.

Not Noteworthy? we should honor you!

Hurricane Camille hit Biloxi, MS.</end quote></div>

I was too!

I was at the Berlin wall when it was still standing and went through the guards to get to the other side.

But those kind of things don't matter half as much to me as seeing milestones in my children's lives.

I was there when George and Weezy moved on up to the East Side.
Hallelujah! Those were happy times!
But, I was also there for the bad times
When Florida lost James to that tragic auto accident.
And I was there when Tootie got those terribly painful braces!
Yes! And when Arnold Jackson got beat up by the Gooch, I was there.
So before you decide I don't belong here, remember this I was there!

in 8th grade watching the towers get hit with planes, in social studies as they called it.

went to tsunami bomb's last show together...don't remember why they broke up

I also went to a spice girls show a loong time ago for my sisters birthday, hilarious!

I was in the military and on duty when we bombed Serbia (March of 99). I was in a comm squadron, and a system that I had never seen any traffic on before started going nuts. I didn't find out why until I was off my shift. Of course, the only effect I would have had on it is bringing the comm link back up if it went down.

...when David Cone pitched a perfect game at Yankee Stadium...in the nose bleed tier section but there nonetheless.

...when Derek Jeter was officially termed Mr. November by the Yankee Stadium scoreboard operator...

...when the BA Concorde left JFK en route to LHR for the very last time (uncle was on a different flight leaving around the same time)

...when my flight to London made an emergency landing in Boston due to engine problems. SCARY but everyone survived without incident
