Ronald Reagan (Check out the Secret Service guy in the background).

The Fonz, Henry Winkler (I am second from the left).
I swear I wouldn't have been able to tell that both were you if you didn't claim to be the 2nd from the left. Either you changed a lot, or that was just a bad photo of you. How'd you meet them all?

Yeah, not a great picture of me.

I met Ronnie Lott, Marcus Allen, Howie Long and Ronald Reagan at an event called 'A Time for Heroes' which is a celebrity carnival that raises money for the Pediatric AIDS Foundation. My mother-in-law use to be involved with the Foundation so I got to "work" a booth with a celebrity (sports and entertainment) took 30 to 60 minute shifts). This was in 1992 I think.

I use to have a ton more pictures of me with other famous people from that event, but they have been lost through various moves. I doubt I through them out, so they are probably in the bottom of a box somewhere

I met Henry Winkler at a dinner where an organization I am involved with gave him an award and dinner in October 2007.

Not a rant. I just wanted to share my day.

So, I set the whole day aside, cleaned up everything in the lab. It went from a mess to almost respectable. I was not given a time to see him, just that he'll be stopping by and that we are to give him a tour. Thus, I just whiled away my time doing busy work in the lab. Suddenly I'm told he'll be there at 2 pm. 2 pm comes by, then 3 pm, then at 3:45 I'm told my lab isn't trashy enough. He wants to see a low budget lab since that is what will be in the movie.

All that cleaning gone to waste. I did see him walk the hallway though.

Anyone else have a brush with the famous?

You got punked. Harrison Ford was never coming to see your lab.

He's currently in Brazil getting a penis tuck, anyway. Women had started to refer to him as "Flappy." As an international man of action, he got right on that.

You make your coffee a little too strong today Perk?

Did Ford show up @ dullard's lab? No? I rest my case.

Owned.

I need to shoot the stupid earring off Han Solo. When did he start wearing that when he started dating Ally McMuffin?

No pic, but at a bar show with Slipknot and Fear Factory, my friend just got up and helped SK with their gear, and then disappeared. He came back for the FF show, and then did the same thing, except I went with him. We ended up hanging out with most of them between their buses smoking some flowers.

I also once met Buzz from The Melvins in a similar fashion.

Your newsletter, can I subscribe to it?
Sure.

Here was me last week petting a cheetah in South Africa.

Atlantic Ocean in SA.

Indian Ocean (in the far distance).

Some seals on Seal Island.

Penquins too.

Tomorrow it'll be Puerto Rico.

geez...you're a geeky looking fucker...:p

My favorite story about meeting a celebrity took place about 1998. I was working on a cliff-face restoration project at Cypress Point golf course in Pebble Beach.
I'd hoist crews up and down the cliff face to drill holes that the'd grout rebar into, which was later attached to more rebar and covered in shotcrete.
One day, my crew got pulled to go do something else, so I was left with nothing constructive to do. (idle hands are the devil's workshop!)
I did all the maintenance to the crane that was possible where I was, (greased everything, cleaned it up as well as possible, etc.) and got bored...
I wandered around and picked up a hardhat full of lost golf balls out of the rough, then, since the course wasn't busy, I threw the balls onto the putting green, grabbed a sand rake and started "shooting pool."
So...I'm down on my hands and knees shooting pool with golf balls, and a pair of golf shoes walks up next to me...I hear a very familiar voice ask,"Are you making any?"

Without even bothering to look up, I reply,"A few here and there. How are you today Mr. Eastwood?" I stand up, shake his hand and tell him, "Of all the people to catch me fucking off..."
He laughed at that and we started discussing the job, where my crew was, how the project was progressing, and how the job at his golf course in Carmel Valley was going. (Tehama GC)

He was always wandering around the job, watching, asking questions, etc. As one of only 250 members, who has to write a check at the end of the year to pay for maintenance costs, he had every right to inquire...plus, he was on the board of directors at the time, so he also had a responsibility to do so...
Nice! I loled @ "Geez you're a geeky looking fucker"...:D
At least he didn't give you the "Feeling lucky?" line, being buns up like that might have given one pause. :D

Brushes with "The Famous": most recently , while walking through Heathrow, we turned a corner onto a main corridor, noticed a cordon of uniformed officers, yet managed to walk through it easily enough and then noticed President Clinton standing at a display of books at a book store. I veered slightly to my left and slowed down enough to Say "Hey Bill!" He looked up and waved as we marched onto our next flight.
Dude is taller than I thought him to be.

I've shaken hands with Gerald Ford and Dick Butkus. They were @ the same gig too, that was one of those "motivational"type gigs.

Sandra Bullock was filming the bridge scene in "The Net" around the corner from our studio, she apparently was able to go the the 7-11 by herself.

Inadvertantly grabbed the boob of Martha Davis /The Motels as she ran into me offstage @ The Kabuki Nightclub.

Was hit on by June Lockhart during a debauched Santa Cruz weekend wayyyy back in the day.... you know, Pre AIDS- Mid Coke. I kept thinking "Danger Wll Robinson!"
