To all those that got into beta testing. Are they making you pay for the headset? So this whole beta testing period is free play that doesn't count into the one-year subscription when it's finally launched?

Yeah, you pay for the kit (49.99) but you also receive an online only copy of Fever 2003, a commerative orange memory card, and a few items to test online. Even though you are playing now and your account is active your 1 year subscription does not kick into action until XBL goes live for everyone else (dont have to worry about paying again until Nov 2003).

Is the memory card going to be with the XBox Live kit, or is it just a special gift for being in the beta test? Dem suckers are expensive at $30 a pop.

It seems this is a scam to sell a lot of the 49.99 packages early. I got that same mail that said I will know by sept 20. Almost everyone I know that signed up has already been picked or got an email that says they are at the top of the list and will know by sept 20.

You get a racing game along with the football game also.

It says I am one of the "finalists" and will know if I get in by the 20th of spetember at the latest.
