I was right, the draft will be reinstated.

http://www.opencongress.org/bill/111-h5741/show.

This Act of Congress, if passed, will draft some people into the military.

How much does anyone want to bet this will be passed?

Rangle has done this multipe times. Also he has setup this between the ages of 18 to 42. Even if it was passed, which it wont be. His age bracket is way to big. The Selective Service is only setup to age 25. Going to age 42 is ridicolous. This is just more showboating and will never get out of committe.

What what is? If you think this bill is anything other than allowing the government to legally enslave its citizens, you're an idiot. If you thought I was serious about the race thing, you're an idiot. Either way, all signs point to you being an idiot.

Wooooooooooooo0sh!

Whats the problem here with this?
Aren't we all patriotic American's willing to give all for our country?
Of was that just pertaining to sticking yellow ribbons on our SUV?
Afraid your kid might have to go? As opposed to just theirs?

It's possible to support the war while opposing the draft, that doesn't make you a hypocrite. No one was forced to go to war.

Everyone's an idiot except you
Shut up and get a clue, you infantile freak.
Saying "Woosh!" because I couldn't understand something that disobeyed several rules of the English language makes you an idiot. Pointing that out, however, in no way implies that I'm an infantile freak.

Unfortunately a draft might be needed in the future when we invade hostile countries such as the UK or Belgium. Many Americans have some sense of loyalty or fondness to such countries. They will need to be drafted in order to fill the military. They will otherwise lack the motivation to join, severely depleting the available population for the military.

Good.

The draft is necessary to teach all Americans (through their children coming home in boxes or without legs and arms) that aggression outside of defense (pre-emptive war), is evil. That it is also wrong to support a war that you don't have to sacrifice your child to.

I'll see those who think rationally, in Canada.

I really love the old "it's OK to abuse the military, as long as the they volunteered" argument. Why not just put a F*** The Troops sticker on your car? They are fighting a war that you don't feel is worth escalating with a draft to win. Just a war worth enough that they can die in it (they did volunteer afterall), but you won't.

Good gauge of your country going in the right direction there. Both the people who have such a mindset, and the morality of the war that you "support" (with other peoples' lives).
