I struggle with this too....

Srsly? It's HS sophomore "thinking deep thoughts" semantic stupidity. Jack Handey would be rifling your fridge for the good beers while he mesmerized you with this "philosophical" question.

If you don't understand this, then you probably have more pressing problems, like mastering the spelling or your name or getting help tying your shoes. ;)

Understanding is half of what philosophy is. Application is the other half.

What does that have to do with the faux conundrum based on semantic bullshit you posted in your OP? It's not philosophy any more than "Can God make a burrito so hot that even He can't eat it" is. It's tween drivel.

Can you really not distinguish The Simpsons from Philosophy?

Geez, I don't know if you're just trolling or if you're truly that shallow, yet pretentious. I actually hope you are trolling, in which case I've been played, flayed and developmentally delayed.

Either way, though, I guess you're perfect for OT. ;)

There are some things that are always black and white, and some things that are conditional. But everything is always black and white. Grey is just contextual situations, it doesn't mean things aren't black and white.

Wow, that's some seriously sloppy BS you're slinging, Sparky!

You should write hipster doofus fortune cookies, "The Archly Ironic After Meal Treat."

Nobody will ever know you're really trying to be straight-ahead profound, they'll assume you're in on the ironic joke, but you won't be, which will be meta-ironic!

Profit!
