HDMI ftw, I just picked mine up today too. It's updating... nothing like bringing home a $600 machine and hooking it up to the network and then it telling you that it needs to update. :frown:Originally posted by: Extelleron

It kind of sucks, but I got component cables off eBay for $17-hardly a big deal.

I also bought Resistance. I just played 2 hours of it single player... 1 problem is that I'll never get used to console controllers for fps. But I agree the game is pretty good and should get better once I get used to the controls.Originally posted by: atybimf
Get Resistance: Fall of Man. The game is sick. Single player is a lot of fun and is pretty long (I haven't finished it yet). It has offline co-op which is a blast. Multiplayer (online and offline) is tons of fun. The guys at Insomniac did a great job with the weapons - they are all pretty much just as useful as each other and they are all really creative and cool. The graphics are pretty slick. The controls just feel right. Definitely the best launch title ever imo.

The fact that sony has only shipped a couple hundred thousand ps3's and they're still on the shelves leads me to believe that it will fail. Software sales won't be able to even cover the loss they take on each ps3, let alone give them or (more importantly) their developers.
You just bought a sega dreamcast, dude.

I wish there was an adapter that would let me use the much superior 360 controller on the PS3.

Does anyone have the sales numbers for the sega dreamcast? I'm pretty sure that the PS3 has already far outsold it 😛
I think its more like people who whored them couldn'y pawn them off eBay for the profit they were expecting and there are returning them.Originally posted by: JeffreyLebowski
Well I've seen people returning PS3 to stores in droves. I think a lot of the people that bought them at launch got stuck with them and are bringing them back now. That is why we are seeing them in stores now.

I only bought it with Christmas money, or I would never have paid for it with my own money.
