Think you have it bad MAME-san, I was BORN with this bag for a head. 😕

find your trigger.. mine is MSG in foods (after a year of trying to figure it out). My life is all better now that I avoid MSG at all costs.

And Zomig or Imitrex is your friend. My buddy gave me a whole bunch of Relpax (he works for Pfizer) but I find Zomig to work a ton faster/better. See a neuro and get it prescribed.

Those who've never had a REAL migraine are clueless.

Seriously...my friends laugh when I tell them bright light such as the sun can give me migraines...they're like 'omgyou're allergic to the sun'

If only they knew.

Thank you for the advice.

As for my trigger, I've noticed that lack of food or possibly too much intense sports might cause them. I'm not sure really, but the last two both came after soccer and raquetball 🙁

Yeah excersise is something that triggers mine, I suffer severe cluster migraines over the span of a week a couple of times a year and it's not pretty, I can end up in bed unable to move for 4 days.

I used to get Migraines ALL the time myself.

SUCKS

But I discovered what was causing mine.

MSG!!

Since I started reading the labels on EVERYTHING I eat and cut out ALL MSG, I haven't had ANY! Except for the occasional times when some slips past me. I also ASK every time I order ANYTHING at a restaurant if the food has MSG, if they don't know or are unsure, I pass!

You might give this a try. It worked WONDERS for me!

thanks but I don't think it's MSG. I'm not sure if it's even food related actually

If it happened after major exertion it could be brought on by low blood sugar.

A couple of more tips that can/may help. Kneed the muscle at the base of your thumb between your thumb and index finger HARD. That can help! WASH dishes in HOT water. That will help relieve the pressure in your head by opening up the capillaries in your hands allowing more blood to enter your extremities and moving the blood from your head. Sounds weird I know, but it DOES help!

Soaking your feet in hot water will help too, same principal.

1) ask the peple with dragons as avatars
2) it's the default avatar and I really don't care to change it because I think they're stupid

Maybe they're born in the year of the dragon 😉

<--Leo

Anyway, hope you feel better.

I know what you mean, I've been rushed to the ER on multiple occasions because I lose feeling in my limbs, that's how bad my headaches are. I have had two different prescriptions for it, PM me if you think you could benefit.

you actually would prefer to be dead than to live through another moment of the kind of headaches I get. you can't begin to understand if you've never felt it personally.

I hear that.

There were times I contemplated diving head first into a wall, to knock myself out, just to stop the PAIN!

If you have never had a Migraine, you have NO FVCKING CLUE!

Trust me, it makes to worst hangover you have ever had, or WILL ever have look like a skinned knuckle .

I hear you, i ususally pop a tylenol when i start seeing the stars/aura. it usually diffuses the migraine, but you gotta take it at the first signs. my nephew gets em too, he does the same
