I was going through my Star Wars figures

Here is the playset that those figures belong to:

All that effort and no spell checker.

Excuse me: DOLLS DO NO HAVE ARTICULATED JOINTS!!!! :colbert:

A-HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

so, I guess the Barbie from the mid-1960's that had bendable knees is also an "action figure"? *

Try as you might, a doll by any other name is still just a doll. *

Methinks that you may be taking this a bit too seriously.

Yeah, went from having fun to raising an eyebrow at that guy.

Anyway, if Barbie's knees were bendable, Ken probably considered her an action figure.

Also...why is he so knowledgeable about 1960's Barbies? Maybe he was playing with them while we all had our ACTION FIGURES?

Calling them "action figures" rather than dolls doesn't make it any less gay to have as an adult.

Everyone tried to cash in on the action figure craze in the early 80s. I mean, how many kids dreamed of buying these and playing with them?

I remember when a friend told me he had seen these in a store back in the early 80s. He was a jokester so I didn't believe him until I saw them with my own eyes. I was doubling over in pain from laughing so hard.

An action figure is a posable character figurine, made of plastic or other materials, and often based upon characters from a film, comic book, video game, or television program. These action figures are usually marketed towards boys and male collectors. Redressable action figures are sometimes called action dolls to distinguish them from those with all or most of the clothes molded on.

So they are dolls for boys.....

I think this thread says it all with regard to your opinion.

You mean not being spoon fed what "they" want you to hear means that your dolls are less gay?

If you say so. Go on ahead and do whatever makes you feel better about still playing with children's toys and thinking it's cool.

Maybe you can get one of those big tables and line them all up for imaginary war games, followed up by a nice day of larping with your friends.

I see literacy isn't your strong point. What part of "boxed up in a closet" is hard to understand?

Like I said, whatever makes you feel better about it. I'm sure keeping them all boxed up is handy for when you need to lug them back and forth to your D&D sessions.

LOL- you have your stereotypes all figured out, don't you 😀 Is there a book that has all of them listed? Someone should make an app for that.

At the least, there should be a book. It probably could make the best sellers list under comedy for sure. Would a bi-yearly update cover all necessary upgrades to those stereotypes?

Frick it, I'm going to publish this.

What is a D&D session? Is that something people who don't keep up with current events engage in?

Didn't have time to address this jewel from you earlier. So, your preferred response is to just ignore everything going on around you and claim your "head is buried in the sand?" Not smart enough to know when to separate facts from spin like the rest of us?

Speaking of not being smart enough, you seem to have a problem posting in the correct thread (you know, the one you linked). If you want to keep discussing the news, then go to that thread.

This thread is about children's toys. Please try and pay attention, even though I know that's hard for you.

"Oh no, somebody called owning children's toys as an adult gay! I must try and deflect the gayness somehow... I know, I'll go off topic!"

Speaking of not being smart enough,

Something you're the expert on.....

You're the one making assinine comments and stereotypes. If you don't like being called on on them, don't post.

Actually, showing your thought process (or lack thereof, as evidenced in the other thread) is relevant to this thread. Don't insult people if you don't like being called out on it.

You're the one making assinine (nice spelling there) comments and stereotypes. If you don't like being called on on them, don't post.

I think owning children's toys, as an adult, is asinine. You think that my opinion on that is asinine. I wonder what the majority of adults would think about these two different opinions...

THIS CALLS FOR A POLL! OP, Update now. 🙂
