The only information I've found from a quick search was a sarcastic forum signature that said:

Page 21, Section 11a, paragraph 3:
UPS Internal Activity Code:
Your package is being handled within a UPS facilty by several UPS employees.
This can include, but is not limited to:
-Unpacking the contents
-Playing with the contents
-Playing with the packaging
-Breaking the contents
Please wait up to 24 hours for your package to continue it's route to final destination.

Now I'm a bit concerned that they're effing with my new laptop even before it gets here.

Unless an mwave employee stuffed it full of pot, no. Only drug I occasionally use is alcohol.

If they were searching for drugs, it would be awfully convenient of them to let you know so
you can flush all the other evidence.

I have no idea what the code means, but maybe it's their way of saying "oops, we broke it?"

Did you buy yours from mwave's eBay store? I got mine with no incident.

No, the Wind was a mistake. He should have bought an Asus 100 series. It has a bigger HD AND you can upgrade the warranty without voiding the warranty.

Bad move ...

You mean 1000 series? If he wasn't going to upgrade anything, the NC10, S10 or Wind are the better choices - all have superior build quality. And if he's going to upgrade, the NC10 or S10 are the best choices.

Pretty good deal, but I think I'll be fine with the Wind.

If it gets here... UPS, I'm glaring at you. :frown:

You should be - I liked it when I played around with one at BestBuy. I seriously love my little NC10 - it's my main PC now, upgraded to 2GB RAM, 320GB HD and Vista Ultimate.

wow this is weird ...

i came upon this thread from google searching "UPS INTERNAL ACTIVITY CODE" because my order too, which billed on 12/01/08, has this same status.

want to know what's even weirder?

it was something I ordered from mwave.com as well (well their ebay account, multiwave video).

I ordered 2 other items from their other ebay account (techtreasures) and then I ordered 2 1Tb Samsung Spinpoints from their other ebay account (multiwavevideo), and the 2 items I ordered from techtreasure, 1 already arrived and the other one is in transit to arrive tomorrow.

However the HDD's I ordered from them under the ebay name multiwavevideo has received this same UPS INTERNAL ACTIVITY CODE exception status which it got on 12/02, and it's still at that status on my tracking info.
