And I went to C:\Doc & settings\Application Data

and I just deleted all but 3 folders... I was thinking I was in my Temp folder. I also emptied my Recycling Bin.

Now what. You think I can restart and I'll come back alive? =P

I remember one night in high school, we were staying late working on the yearbook (must've been around 7-8 pm) and we ran out of space on the only computer we had that had all of our layout software on it... we had no way of upgrading the hard drive any time soon or adding additional storage, so we starting trying to think of what we could delete.

someone had the bright idea of deleting all the fonts.

it didn't end well...

Well, looks like somebody is going to have to repair windows.

Has a windows repair actually ever worked for someone?

I once had a problem booting after installing some screwed up sound drivers and it advised me to go to the recovery console. So I did. I took one look at that console and my face looked like this -->

I had no idea what I was doing. So I formatted.

System Restore has saved my ass many times. It works so well that I won't install any new software OR updates before creating a new Restore Point.

System Restore + Recent Ghost Image stored on sep drive = no worries

I remember back in the good old days when my pop moved from DOS to Win95.
He had the attitude that if he didnt know what a file was, it should be deleted.

Hilarity ensued!

I miss those days.

Negative! A bad file table will throw that all out of wack, there should be no excuse for a good external backup solution.
