I was at a computer shop today......

a guy came in and said to the staff: i need a Athlon 1.3GHZ processor.

staff: sure no problem.

guy: i'm going to overclock this thing to 2GHz.

staff: oh that's great, what MB are u using?

guy: MSI. They will allow me to overclock to 2GHz and beyond, without damaging the board, very nice.

staff: you will need a good cooler than.

guy: yup, what's the best one you have?

staff: we have dragon orb, i think it will be fine.

guy: cool i'll get one. i was also thinking about getting a video card.

staff: sure, ATI is excellent.

guy: ya i know, i heard GeForce cards don't support DirectX 8.

staff: ya that's why ATI is better.

Actually some of them are pretty stupid, I don't even know how they got the job. I was in futureshop a while ago buying a soundcard, and the manager for the computer department came up to me and said nice video card. I was like its a soundcard, and he said really? I was like wtf is wrong with these people, the same manager always annoys me when I am in there, and he knows absolutely nothing about computers.

this happens so often that after a while you become tollerant to it...

for example... I was at that lousy-ass PC Liquidator... other than the fact these people need some serious oral hygene and some people skills... they really need to learn a thing or two about hardware.

some guy was asking about the "slott'ed Athlon" and the "Thunderbird" one of the chief dorks sat there telling the guy how the athlon was far more supeior to the thunderbird because it has a larger and faster cache and that the thunderbird was equivilant to a celeron.

I rolled my eyes and walked along... not saying anything... had I said something I guess the poor guy would have walked away w/o getting scammed but I would have been harassed and thrown outta the store.
