Lol that happens sometimes. Kinda wierd that not many people think about falling icicles from doorways until one falls right in front of them. On the upside I don't think they are hard enough or fall fast enough to really hurt people. I think the tip would break before your skull does, otherwise wear a helmet. 😉

A spear-shaped piece of ice falling more than 2 stories is going to do some damage... particularly if its hits the head. Even without breaking the skull, you have a LOT of blood vessels in your scalp and a small cut can lead to profuse bleeding.
