basically, here's the story.

I was going down a two-lane road, getting ready to turn into a drive. I turn my left blinker on about 3-4 seconds from the actual turn, then slowly apply my brakes until I come to a stop (opposite-way traffic prevented me from turning without stopping). All of a sudden, I hear a major screeching of tires behind me. I look in the rear view mirror and this big black jeep is staring me in the face, rocking backwards as a result of the hard brake the [female] driver did.

The worst part of it was, I wasn't carrying my driver's license at the time, so I don't even want to think of what would've happened had she rear-ended me.

She would have offered sex on the spot to compensate for her indiscretion.

Hey... that's just like me...

My friend was looking outward towards an internet cafe while driving (with me inside the car), and he suddenly sped up with only a few meters away from a stopped car...

So I had to yell at him to friggin brake, and we barely hit the car by like ~6 inches.

So did I.

So I'm cruising down Aurora, which is a 3-lane "highway"/arterial route. The far right lane always has a couple cars parked in it, until it becomes full-highway near the zoo. So this guy in an old pickup goes into the right lane to try and pass everyone, sees the cars parked, and, without signalling, aggressively swerves back into my lane, inches in front of me. Moron! Things continue as normal, until we get to the highway section...I drop into the slot that's now open, and push the fun pedal. Then the pickup AGAIN pulls a sharp, sudden, unsignalled lane change RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!!! I'm ashamed to say that I did lock my brakes like a noob..it was just so sudden! Why is it that some pickup drivers seem to think they're in a fvcking F1 racer and they're late to the Grand Prix? The guy had a little girl in the center of the bench seat, too..I hope she doesn't learn from his terrible driving.

I don't think you really would've gotten into much trouble by not having your license. The officer (I believe) can pull up your information using your name/social/address, etc. Seeing as how it wouldn't have been your fault, so long as you don't have any outstanding warrants or anything, you would've been good to go most likely.

Keep your license in your wallet.
Keep your wallet in your pocket.
Don't forget your wallet.

I don't think you'd have had a problem though since you do HAVE a license.

Typical. People don't ever bother to look out on the road anymore. If you were on a motorcycle you would've gotten plowed into.

God damn. Should've dragged the stupid bitch out of her jeep and smacked her a couple times.

I've never nearly been rear ended (unless tapping my brakes for tail gaters when I'm sitting in the right lane on the free way going 70) but I have had lots of dumb people turn infront of me when I have the right of way. Like following 2-3 car lengths behind an SUV on a road at 40mph, someone made a right onto the road behind the SUV, and I had to swerve to avoid hitting them because there would have been no way for me to stop in time.

I hate other drivers sometimes.

I almost had sex with Angelina Jolie today. I was ready but she wasn't around.

Thats the worst part??? Whats the big deal, you tell the officer your DOB and address and he looks it up, worst case scenario you have to go to court to pay a minimal fine. How is that the worst part though? I would think the worst part would be actually getting hit!!!

ohhhh scary... there you are mangled after getting pwned by a Jeep, and the worst of your worries is "oh no i dont have my license, I hope they will still try to save my life and repair my mangled body. Darn if only I had my license!"

There's a really good joke in there somewhere... but I'm not brave enough to look for it.

I didn't know Jeeps could stop. Wow. I though they just sort of started rolling, and that was that.

A friend of mine, had a Peugeot 106 (smaaall car), and was following a Toyota Landcruiser (biiiiig car).

Suddenly the Landcruiser grinds to a halt (well, as best as that thing could) and just reverses backwards, beating the crap out of said Peugeot.

Basically, the old guy had missed his turning, so had just stopped and backed up for it. Towbar made a mess of the radiator etc.

You have to wonder where some people look when they're driving.

I also nearly had an accident today. I was in bed when the alarm went off. Putting it on snooze I relaxed for 5 minutes before getting up. Suddenly I felt like I could release one, but midway through easing it out I suddenly pulled back as it was a chunker. I very nearly sharted.

I also didn't have my driver's licence with me... how weird is that?!

dont see what the big deal is... in most states...
if you dont have your license with you, or lost it, you have 48 hours to take it to the police station and verify it with the cop.

It's not a big deal if you don't carry your license.

Not having a license to start with on the other hand..
