You are right, it is a GM. But it is also an import. It actually has real leather in it...

It's no use man...you can talk until you turn blue and they'll still hate on GM while they drive their civics.

Actually, it IS kind of fun making blanketing generalizing statements! ;)

Many cars have leather, mine does, your too right?

anyway, I was curious about the new material G.M. is making their dash and console out of.

Oh, being a G.M. and an import, thats much better

LOL, the funny part is that my Porsche doesn't have leather. It is vinyl and cloth. The leather was an option.

Ok, so yeah, I danced around the plastic dash issue. Of course the console and such is plastic. Its just not really cheap plastic. Its not such that you can still see the seems from the mold. When you touch the shifter, climate controls or radio it doesn't feel cheap. It feels like there is substance.

My Maxima has plastic, its an older car (92) but it too doesn't feel cheap. I have no idea what eh new ones are like. Back to the afore mentioned Porsche, it also has a plastic console and dash components. It can be done nicely, and Holden did it right. Ford didn't. Chrysler is close with the Charger, but GM/Holden/Pontiac have a solid car on their hands.

So how many cars *do* you have?
