I want to start OCing

you are way than fine start to worry when your temps start to hit about 60 mine is around 48 50 under full load but I'm on water so its will be a little different for you. you should be able to get 3ghz very easy without even trying just do a 429FSB X 7 that will get you 3.0 you should even get more than that. but i would try that and work your way and make sure to keep testing for stability.

I would consider 3.4GHz a moderate OC with that setup...

...RAM might be a limiting factor.
