I'm the only user on my PC, so I don't want to put a password each time that I turn on my PC, I can't remember how to avoid that (I have a brain fart) :)

Thanks in advance

assuming you have xp: control panel, user accounts, change an account, choose your profile, remove password.

Delete the .NET account or any other accts. and make sure you disable the guest acct. It should work now.

Anyone know what the .NET acct is for?

If you want to keep multiple users but by default log into one ... even thats possible.

Use TweakUI's Autologon...

DO NOT DELETE THE .NET ACCOUNT! It's used by the .net framework. Just use TweakUI to set autologin information and you'll be set. However, you may wish to consider leaving the password and create a couple lower privledge test accounts (thats usually what I wind up doing on my various boxes)

go to run, then enter
control userpasswords2

Highlight the account you want to automatically login every time and then uncheck the "users must enter a username and password to use this computer". You will get prompted to pick a user, which will default to the highlight user id. Select ok.
