works in the UK and in the US. This way It is easiest for both of us.

So where does the scam begin? It looks like she hasn't asked you for any money yet.

So far it seems like it could be legit. If it was a scam I?d say just ignore it from what I?ve gathered from your post you don't seem to be the sharpest tool in the shed?

It kind of reads like a scam, I just don't see any attempt on her part to extract any money from you.

of course..

the other party will probably reply in saying they'll send you a cashiers check for some amount over what you are asking.. in return you send the rest back to the other party in cash...

the cashiers check will of course, be invalid, or overdrawn .. but of course, you'll be held responisble by your bank for depositing/cashing the cashiers check...

There are many like this floating around on Craigslist.. I posted something for sale a while back, and got bombarded with scam emails to my Gmail account..

It seems to be legit but I'm still scared for you at the same time.

It seems weird that her english is kinda off.

worst case scenario I give her my address she sends me a legit money order and I just get 1600 extra bucks in my pocket since I have no signed obligation to do anything.

Since the cheque is being drawn from BoA, take the cheque to a BoA and they can verrify the cheque before you do anything.

There's a 0% chance the MO will be legit. Have her mail it to the white house and use a fake name.

The MO will be fake. Either it will be for over the amount he requested and she'll ask for the difference, or will back out of the transaction and ask for a refund/partial refund.

But if the MO is fake how can any of that occur?

Who would be dumb enough to feel obligated to do either of those when there wasnt any contractual agreement made.
