Never liked this look. Always screams to cheap to want a nice floor (travertine, marble, wood) keep that in mind if trying to sell.

Anyway you get it poured and go to sherwin williams and get their staining kit. I forget what the clear is called but I can call my salesman if your interested.

It's not for a floor. I want to use it on a new desk i'm building.

Then search for DIY concrete counter-tops, and then go to sherwin and talk to them about staining, industrial store is best.

Sounds like a plan. How would one pour such a small amount of concrete?

Like I said do a google search for DYI concrete counters, they'll tell ya. Or better yet build up your forms find someone pouring a driveway and pay the workers $40 to pour it, float it, and shape edges they'll have all the tools/concrete truck right there.

I've only fucked with it once, nightmare, ugly, heavy. Why concrete?

yeah that's nuts for a desk.


got one of those habitat for humanity reuse stores around? the one around
here has slabs of black granite countertop, saw two that were ~2'x1' for $10 each

I'll have to check the restore. Granite isn't the look im looking for but I can work with it at that price
