Sounds like people on this game have the same problem that Left 4 Dead 2 has. The difference is it is much easier to find all the good and great games in Left 4 Dead 2.

Uh, it's different really from what I've seen.

Because of match making, unless you are specifically with people, you are assigned in teams to those who are around your Match Making Rating.

But the problem is that I am stuck with playing with teams that are either amazing or horrible. (It's about 50/50) It's rare, in my opinion, that one player defines that entire game no matter how bad his team is.

If you have a team of 0/10'ers then you're kinda screwed. It's very--- rare to win those games unless you are omega-god late game and the other team sucks.

I never use match making in any game be it Left 4 Dead 2 or anything else.

Only reason people use it is because 1) it's usually faster than joining normal games and 2) you get coins from each game you play in MM to get character skins and crap.

Clueless.

Nah, I'm pretty sure you are. Your math, as it stands is as follows;
3.00 steps forward -1.00 step backward = 2 steps forward.

However, what I think you meant was but are unable to properly articulate due to endless hours of filling a droolcup in HoN;
( taking 0.33 steps forward * 3 games ) -1.00 steps backward = 0 steps forward.

Or more correctly if we multiply up to whole numbers;
( 1 step forward * 3 games ) -3 steps backwards = 0 steps forward.

But clearly I'm the one with the impediment, so continue on without my mathematical wizardry.

You appear to have a cognitive problem. I clearly stated three wins gains 10 PSR, one loss loses 10 PSR. Each "step" being distance relative to PSR measured specifically in games played, the steps are now hypothetical from the perspective of PSR and have no numerically defined PSR gain/loss measurement; they can be as big or short steps as they need to be to accomplish the theorem since the steps themselves are a unit of measurement for games played, not PSR won/lost as you appear to have made some ignorant assumption about. The end result of the calculation is the number of games applicable to zero out on PSR gain/loss; so three steps back, one step forward.

Since you appear to have the reasoning ability of a toddler, I'll gladly re-phrase it for your poor wittle gray matter ball to allow you to actually think less about it, which seems to be a perquisite for your ability to put two and two together to make five. (a joke, ha-ha)

Three baby-steps forward, one normal step backwards.

Assume less, especially when you are not the one presenting data. With such narrow-minded comprehension ability I'd sadly suggest you're the unfortunate product of public education. Fucking tool.

I have probably played about 700ish games since early beta of this game. It really is a fantastic game. The new match making has really changed the game in my opinion. I would say about 75% of games i play now are pretty even.

I usually play with a group of players everynight. Hit me up if you want to play. I'm not the greatest, but I'm no newb to the genre. My online name is Mennovh.

So, a long time ago I used to play Dota with friends - my favourite hero was Lich. HoN apparently has an identical hero (Plague Rider) and I've been having some fun in public 5v5 ap ab games, but honestly there really are some trolls playing.

In every game I have played so far, one or all of the following things have happened:

1) A teammate picks pebbles and uses the skill to knock me forward or over a ledge into a group of enemies, "LOL"ing while I get killed.

2) Rampant ksing, I'll 1v2 some heroes and my teammates will watch, then when a hero gets down low they'll blink on top of the hero and kill it.

3) Rampant trolling. Now, this may be a function of my username "YouStillSuck", but the point of that username is to playfully antagonize the opposing team.

By trolling, I mean people sitting in our spawn, or deliberately feeding the other team while laughing and calling our team noobs, or deliberately dragging a game out (refusing to concede) when it's 3v5 and we're simply getting farmed by fed heroes.

I'm not a pro or anything, I do the general stuff like deny (even easier as lich), last hit on creeps, harass, so I think I'm decent. Yet, it seems that in pub games people are simply there to try to grief and proclaim everyone else a noob.

Unfortunately, the people I played Dota with have all quit, and I'm definitely looking for some teamplay minded people, who have a basic grasp of the game and who would want to play a few games minus the things I've mentioned above.

So, here's hoping some of you play.

play mm.

if you only want to play plague you can thumbs down everything but AP.

since mm came out, pubs are full of the scum of HoN. but there are always people you just need to /ignore and move on with your life.

also, protip: next to your teammate's icons there is a little green dot that changes to red when you click on it. this disables them from affecting you. i.e. change the dot to red by pebbles' icon and he can't toss you

Just a FYI - click the little green circle next to their character portrait on the left side of the screen. They can no longer chuck you. This works for all abilities that can be directed at you by teammates, and can be applied to any and/or all players as you see fit.

Thanks for the tip re: team-mates affecting you with skills.

I'll try some games this weekend in MM, and see how it goes - if any of you are on at the time perhaps we can play together.

I'll play plague until I get back into things, and then probably pick an agi or strength hero for late game unstoppability. Lich/Plague are great early/mid but if your team aren't keen on ganking/suppressing the other team then it's pretty much 'gg' from the get go. It's a team game, yet so far in every game most people play like they are by themselves. I've even received profuse thanks for timing plague's ult properly, to show you how bad the state of affairs is in pub games.

Hope I see some of you online.

I was an avid dota player and now play HoN almost daily with close friends. If anyone is looking for more competitive games let me know my names hammyton. Or if any noobs just want to learn I'm always willing to play with people as long as they have a second account I can use to play with them (it's hard to find games with newer players on my main account so when I help friends or something I usually have to go on someones alternate account).
