I want to lower VCore to see if temps will drop. Any settings i should avoid? How low should I go?

lowering your vcore will reduce the heat your chip produces, but if you lower it too far it will make your system unstable
so knock it down a notch, run benchies
knock it down another notch run benchies
repeat until your system destabilizes then raise it one notch

well, settings wouldn't let me go lower than 1.65, and that's what i'm running now. finished a few runs of the sandra burn-in and everything looks ok. gonna give a run at warcraft3 to see how it handles that. idle temps are alot lower, but mostly due to the fact that my room is around 80 deg rather than the 90-95 that it was earlier.....

Give it 12 hours or so of Prime95. After reading these forums for a bit I've discovered that it really is true that this program will reveal instabilities that other burn-in apps will miss...

can you post your before and after temps? i'm curious how much knocking fown the vcore did
of course the 10 degree change in ambient will cause about that much decrease in overall temps, but the lower vcore should help too

posting my temps would be ridiculously uninformative becuase up until yesterday (~ noon) there was a heatwave up here. my room was about 90 degrees. it's now about 65 outside, probably similar temps in my room since i have my windows open.
